Uploading data files
Find and navigate to the overview of your product in Edupool Publisher.
Now click on the Dateien "Data" tab.
Now drag and drop your media files onto the right side of the tab.
Right click on your file to access a drop-down menu of settings to configure for your media files.
Umbenennen (Rename)
Change the filename then hit <enter> to save.
Als Einstieg markieren (Mark as entry point)
This is required for HTML, PDF, MP3, MP4 files
Every medium needs an entry point for playback.
For multi-file product, an HTML start page (index.html, start.html, or mainmenu.html) is required that must always be in the main directory of the medium. This file should be selected here.
If a product consists of only a single video clip, audio file, or PDF document, there is no need for an HTML start page; simply mark the media file as the entry point.
Als Download markieren (Mark for download)
If you apply this to a ZIP file it will enable the file to be downloaded by the user. However, if the medium consists of only a PDF, MP3, or MP4 file, that file can also be marked directly as a download. When you mark for download an icon appears at the beginning of the filename which will be coloured green.
MP4, MP3, or PDF files can be marked both as a download and as an entry point (see above).
Extrahieren (Extract)
We recommend that you upload new productions as a ZIP file and then extract them directly on the server. Use this menu item to do perform the extraction.
Im Browser anzeigen (Display in browser)
This displays the HTML pages in the browser so you can test their functionality and appearance.
Datei löschen (Delete file)
Take care here as this action cannot be undone. Always store original copies on your local system.
Use tab menu to test and work with the whole product
Play
Use this to play the entire medium. This is your main check for quality control. If Play doesn’t work, check that you have set an entry point (see Als Einsteig Markieren above) for your product.
Download
By clicking this button in the toolbar, you can save the entire medium locally. If the download doesn’t work, you have probably not yet marked a file for download (see Als Download Markieren above).
Zip
By clicking this button, the entire medium will be zipped. Either a new file will be created, or the existing download ZIP will be overwritten. This process is server-side and takes some time depending on the file size. The updated directory tree will open afterward.
WebDAV
WebDAV is a paid additional function for the Edupool Publisher that allows the entire directory of a medium to be mapped to a your local directory tree (e.g., Windows Explorer). You will receive a link to your product and can directly edit the files locally, or copy and paste them in from your local file system. You can also give your employees temporary access to specific media storage. To enquire about WebDAV please contact service@antares.net.
Datei-Ablage (File Storage)
The "Storage" button to the right of the toolbar is a useful shortcut to previously called-up records so that they can be re-called and edited without you having to search again.
Home
Clicking this button in the toolbar takes you directly to the root directory of the product.
Tip: Right-clicking "Home" allows you to create a new directory. Always press Enter after entering the new directory name.
Check visibility on Marketplace
If you do not yet have access, please contact service@antares.net. The changes you make will immediately affect the display in the media portals of your customers.
